From industrial equipment enclosures and household hardware to precision instrument components and large-scale engineering structures, our powder coating process consistently centers on client needs, imbuing every sheet metal product with both practical value and visual texture.

Advantages

The substrates of sheet metal products are mostly metal materials such as steel and aluminum, which inherently have natural drawbacks such as susceptibility to oxidation and poor corrosion resistance. Powder coating treatment is precisely the key solution to these issues, while also enabling aesthetic enhancement and functional expansion of the products. The specific reasons are as follows:

01.

Preventing Metal Corrosion and Extending Service Life

Metal materials, when exposed to air, moisture, ect. are highly prone to oxidation and rust. This can lead to reduced structural strength, compromised appearance, and even affect usage safety. The powder coating forms a dense protective barrier on the metal surface, isolating the substrate from contact with external corrosive media, thereby fundamentally inhibiting oxidation, rust, and other issues.

02.

Enhancing Surface Hardness to Resist Physical Damage

Untreated sheet metal surfaces typically have low hardness, making them susceptible to scratches and abrasion, which compromises both appearance and functional performance. Powder coating can achieve a pencil hardness rating of 2H or higher, effectively resisting scratches and impacts encountered during daily use. It also offers excellent wear resistance, making it ideal for high-frequency use products such as machinery equipment housings, furniture hardware, and vehicle accessories.

03.

Enhancing Product Appearance and Elevating Brand Image

Raw sheet metal parts often feature rough surfaces and monotonous colors, lacking aesthetic appeal. Powder coating can transform the product surface to be smooth and uniform in color. Through personalized color schemes and texture designs, it highlights the product's design sensibility and brand identity. For example, high-end medical equipment using matte white powder coating conveys a professional and clean brand tone

04.

Meeting Industry-Specific Demands and Expanding Application Scenarios

Different industries impose specific performance requirements on sheet metal products. Powder coating can achieve functional expansion by selecting specialized powder coatings.

Production Process

The bending laser cutting process integrates laser cutting with CNC bending technologies, following this standardized workflow:

Engineering Design (CAD Drafting)

①Customer provides design drawings, or our engineers create structural designs based on product requirements

②Generate 2D/3D CAD files to define cutting paths and bend angles

Material Preparation

①Select appropriate metal sheets (material, thickness, specifications) per drawing requirements

②Perform surface cleaning/degreasing if necessary

Sheet Metal Substrate Fabrication

Based on customer drawings, sheet metal cutting, bending, stamping, welding, and other processing steps are carried out to form sheet metal blanks that meet the requirements. Dimensional accuracy is strictly controlled during the machining process to ensure compatibility with subsequent powder coating processes.

Electrostatic Powder Coating:

Automated electrostatic spraying equipment is used to evenly apply the selected powder coating onto the surface of the sheet metal parts. Operators adjust spraying parameters based on the product's structure to ensure uniform coating coverage without missed spots or sags. For complex or irregularly shaped parts, manual touch-up spraying is applied as a supplement to guarantee the coating quality

High-Temperature Curing

The coated sheet metal parts are placed into a curing oven and baked at a constant temperature of 180-220°C for 15-30 minutes (specific parameters are adjusted according to the powder type). The powder coating melts, levels, and cures under high heat, forming a dense film. Temperature and time are monitored in real-time during the curing process to ensure stable coating performance.

Inspection

onduct comprehensive checks for: Dimensional compliance, Angular accuracy, Surface quality. And finally perform assembly/packaging as needed.

Packaging and Delivery

Qualified products are cleaned and packaged using materials such as bubble wrap, EPE foam, and cartons based on client requirements to prevent damage during transportation. Products are safely and punctually delivered to the client's specified location within the agreed-upon timeframe, accompanied by relevant quality inspection reports.

FAQ

Q1: Can complex and irregularly shaped sheet metal parts undergo powder coating? Will uneven spraying occur?

A1: Yes, it can. By using automated electrostatic spraying equipment combined with manual touch-up spraying, we achieve comprehensive and even powder coating on complex, irregular sheet metal parts. For challenging areas such as edges, corners, and hollowed sections, operators adjust the spraying angle and parameters to ensure uniform coverage. Before production, the technical team analyzes the product structure to develop a targeted spraying plan, preventing any issues with uneven coating.

Q2: Is there any other surface treatment can you provide?

A2: We can provide powder coating, paint, polish, brushed, galvanized, anodized.sand blasting.

Q3: Is the freight included?

A3: It usually does not include, we can provide the estimated price, the exact price will be confirmed after the package.

Q4: What is your terms of payment?

A4: 50% deposit , T/T, Paypal, the balance pay before shipment.

Q5: What is the first thing I need for quotation?

A5: Please provide us the drawing(2d or3d), surface requirement, quantity, ect.

Q6: What is the lead time?

A6: The sample is usually need 5-7 days, the batch will depends on the quantity. It can be negotiated.
