Advantages of Injection Molding
Low cost per part: For high output production runs the cost per part is very low. Even for medium volumes – in the range of 10,000 to 25,000 parts, you can keep the costs down by using aluminum molds instead of steel.
Repeatability: You can manufacturer identical products over and over again. This is ideal when you need to have parts with high tolerances and reliability across high volumes.
Large material choice: There is a huge range of plastic materials that you can select from depending on what properties you need from your final part.
Low waste: The injection molding process produces very little waste when compared to many other manufacturing processes. Even if there is any unused or waste plastic, you can recycle it for future use.
High detail: The process involves injecting molten plastic into the mold under very high pressure. This presses the plastic hard up against the molds allowing complex and intricate shapes plus a lot of detail.
Little or no post processing: Generally, you will need very little post production as the parts usually have good aesthetics post production. We can produce the tooling with a special finish which will show immediately on the injection-molded part. You can even have your logo or text engraved on it.

Injection molding is a manufacturing process that creates plastic parts by injecting molten material into a mold. Key features include its ability to produce high volumes of parts with tight tolerances and consistent quality. The process offers a wide range of material options and allows for the creation of complex shapes with intricate details.
Gas-assisted injection molding: In gas-assisted injection molding, a pressurized inert gas (typically nitrogen gas) is injected into the mold right after the molten plastic, forcing the material into the mold walls and leaving a cavity where the gas once was.
Thin-wall molding: In thin wall molding, parts maximize material and cost savings by utilizing thin wall thicknesses relative to the part’s overall size.
Liquid silicone injection molding: Liquid silicone injection molding allows for the mass production of silicone rubber products. This type of injection molding is distinct from others in that silicone rubber is technically a thermoset rubber, therefore it will require vulcanization (the process that provides rubber its beneficial material properties like durability and flexibility).
Structural foam molding: Structural foam molding allows for the mass-production of very large parts, thanks to the introduction of a composite material formed from a polymer mixed with an inert gas (such as nitrogen) or a chemical blowing agent.
Metal injection molding: Probably the newest and most unique type of injection molding, metal injection molding allows for the production of injection-molded metal products. In the process, metal powder and binder are mixed and granulated.

Construction industry
In the construction industry, injection molding is vital in producing durable components such as connectors, brackets, and housing elements. These parts, often made from robust plastics or composites, must withstand environmental stresses and bear significant loads, making the strength and consistency offered by injection molding invaluable.
Food industry
For the food and beverage sector, injection molding is employed to create packaging and food-safe products. Items like bottle caps, containers, and utensils are manufactured with food-grade materials, ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations.
Medical injection molding
In the medical sector, injection molding plays a crucial role in producing high-quality, durable, and sterile components. Products range from small items like test kits and x-ray components to larger parts such as mri machine housings.
Defense industry
In the defense industry, injection molding is indispensable for producing parts that require high strength and impact resistance.
Agriculture implements and tools
Injection molding has revolutionized the agricultural industry by providing robust, weather-resistant parts essential for modern farming. The technique excels in producing large volumes of durable items efficiently, making it ideal for agricultural applications.
Electronic industry
In the electronic industry, the precision and versatility of injection molding are critical in producing components for a wide range of devices.
Furniture industry
Furniture manufacturing has wholeheartedly embraced injection molding for its unparalleled ability to produce durable, aesthetically pleasing, and innovative designs.
Production Process of Injection Molding
Part design: After an engineer or an inventor comes up with an idea for a new part, the next step is to create a part drawing that accounts for the manufacturing process that will be used to produce the part.
Mold design: After the part design is complete, it’s time to design the mold’s negative cavity and other features. The mold designer considers what the part designer wants, but must also place various features to support injection molding, like the parting line location, which determines where the mold separates.
Mold creation: Injection molds can be made from aluminum or soft, semi-hardened, and hardened steels. To select the right material, mold makers consider production volumes, the type of plastic resin, and the physical characteristics of the final part.
Mold preparation: When all of the mold’s components are complete, they’re assembled with the tool that will be used inside of the injection molding machine. Once this assembly is complete, a technician confirms that everything on the tooling lines up correctly and fits together tightly.
Material preparation: While the tooling is set up and tested, the plastic material is also prepared. The goal is to make sure that the plastic contains the correct moisture level and is heated properly so that it can be injected into the mold.
Injection: Once the molding machine is ready and the plastic material is melted, the injection cycle begins. The mold is closed tightly and held shut by the high pressure of the mold press.
Cooling: Once the injection molding shot is complete, the pressure on the material and the mold is held for a set period of time. This allows the molten plastic to begin to cool and solidify.
Ejection: Part ejection is the last stage of the molding process within the machine. During this stage, the molding machine pushes forward pins, blades, or other features.
